[UPDATE]: Marcus Mariota came in for Hurts at the end of the second quarter — just after QB1 threw an interception, but right before halftime.

It didn’t even reach halftime in the Eagles-Giants game on Sunday before it made sense to bench the starters. The dominos started falling early in the first quarter with Sydney Brown, and then A.J. Brown, and then Jalen Hurts appeared to injure his finger on a fourth down play at the start of the second quarter.

Early appearances are that he dislocated the middle finger on his throwing hand, which is not great, but thankfully wasn’t something more serious.

Hurts was 6-of-12 for 47 yards when he headed into the medical tent on the sideline, and in a game that is important but not critical, the QB surprisingly went back in after getting his finger taped up.

The QB has been playing through injuries all season, but this is the first year of his NFL career he played in all 17 games, and was thought to be going into the postseason relatively healthy. We’ll see if his finger ends up being a problem, or hindering him in any way, but hopefully he’s able to make it out of the game without any other issues.
