Two players were ruled OUT: DeVonta Smith and Darius Slay.
DeVonta is missing his first NFL game ever after getting hurt on that cowardly 3rd-and-19 screen call on Philly’s penultimate possession in Week 17.
The Eagles seem optimistic that DeVonta can play in their wild card game.
In the meantime, they have A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, Quez Watkins, and Britain Covey available at wide receiver. They could look to temporarily elevate Greg Ward or Joseph Ngata from the practice squad for more WR depth (note: Devon Allen is on the practice squad injured reserve list).
It was originally reported that Slay would be back before the end of the regular season but the Eagles might be trying to give him an extra week since this game might not mean much. Slay was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before not practicing on Friday. Slay will likely be back for the Eagles’ wild card game.
One player was ruled QUESTIONABLE: D’Andre Swift.
Swift was limited in Friday’s practice due to illness. With this game potentially not mattering much, the Eagles should consider resting him anyway. They can get by with the likes of Kenny Gainwell, Boston Scott, and Rashaad Penny. But it would be surprising to see an illness prevent Swift from playing.
Jordan Davis, Zach Cunningham, Avonte Maddox, and Haason Reddick are all listed without game statuses despite appearing on the injury report this week. They were all full participants in Friday’s practice.
