NFL Draft Order: Eagles set to pick at No. 22 in the first round

The Philadelphia Eagles’ season is over, which means many will turn their focus to the 2024 NFL Draft. It’s only 99 days away, after all!

Based on playoff results so far, the draft order for the first 24 picks has been finalized. The Birds own the No. 22 selection in the first round. That’s two spots ahead of where the Cowboys are picking at No. 24. Suck it, Dallas!

The Eagles can obviously go in a number of different directions with their selection, depending on how the board shakes out. Many will want to see them draft a linebacker for the first time in forever. Cornerback and safety prospects will also be desired. But you already know they’re going to draft an offensive lineman.

Here’s a history of the No. 22 overall pick over the last 10 drafts:

2023 — WR Zay Flowers

2022 — LB Quay Walker

2021 — CB Caleb Farley

2020 — WR Justin Jefferson

2019 — OT Andre Dillard

2018 — LB Rashaan Evans

2017 — DE Charles Harris

2016 — WR Josh Doctson

2015 — DE Bud Dupree

2014 — QB Johnny Manziel

Apologies for the reminder of the back-to-back mistakes in 2019 (drafting a bust in Dillard) and 2020 (the Vikings taking Jefferson one pick after the Eagles picked Jalen Reagor).

The Eagles’ pick at No. 22 is just one of eight selections they’re currently projected to make. An overview of their 2024 picks:

1st round (No. 22)

2nd round (No. 50) — originally the New Orleans Saints’ selection

2nd round (No. 53)

3rd round — projected compensatory pick

5th round — originally the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ selection

5th round — projected compensatory pick

5th round — projected compensatory pick

5th round — projected compensatory pick
