The Philadelphia Eagles entered Week 13 with four ways to officially clinch a playoff spot. Obviously, losing to the San Francisco 49ers prevented any of them coming to fruition. But even if the Birds had won, they still wouldn’t have clinched since they didn’t get help elsewhere in the NFL.

Entering Week 14, there are 10 different ways the Eagles can officially clinch.

Here are the relevant games:

Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens (-7) [1:00 PM ET]

Detroit Lions (-3) at Chicago Bears [1:00 PM ET]

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers (-10.5) [4:05 PM ET]

Minnesota Vikings (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders [4:05 PM ET]

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) [Sunday Night Football]

Green Bay Packers (-7) at New York Giants [Monday Night Football]

And here are the 10 scenarios:

1) Eagles win AND Seahawks loss or tie

2) Eagles win AND Rams loss or tie

3) Eagles win AND Packers loss or tie AND Vikings loss or tie

4) Eagles win AND Packers loss or tie AND Lions loss

5) Eagles tie AND Rams loss AND Seahawks loss

6) Eagles tie AND Rams loss AND Vikings loss or tie

7) Eagles tie AND Rams loss AND Packers loss or tie

8) Eagles tie AND Seahawks loss AND Vikings loss or tie

9) Eagles tie AND Seahawks loss AND Packers loss or tie

10) Eagles tie AND Vikings loss AND Packers loss

...

If you could pick just one of these scenarios, I’d say four is the most optimal. Seeing the Packers (who suddenly might be a plucky wild card team?) and the Lions lose would be ideal. Keep Green Bay out of the playoffs over the other options, unless you’re thinking the Eagles get the No. 1 seed and the Packers give the 49ers a challenge as a No. 7 seed. Detroit losing also give the Eagles more cushion for the No. 1 seed.

Of course, what’s most important is that the Birds do their part and beat the Cowboys. Doing so will essentially (but not officially) clinch the NFC East. It’ll also keep Philly in control of their destiny for a first-round bye.
