San Francisco 49ers (8-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-1), 4:25 p.m. Sunday

The Line: Eagles minus-3/Total: 47.5

What is the line telling you:

San Francisco opened as one-point favorites and the 49ers are finally getting healthy. The last time the Niners were healthy they blew out the Dallas Cowboys. The combined total is 47.5, and when the line first came out, the sharp money liked the 49ers at minus-1 and minus-2, but when it hit the key number of 3, it lost some value from that move. The Eagles have a big game next week against Dallas, in Dallas. Both teams have scored the exact amount on offense, 310 points. The only difference is the Niners’ defense has been much better, giving up 76 points less than the Eagles. The 49ers also have a much better point-differential throughout the year at plus-140 to the Eagles’ plus-64. Both teams have been hot. The Eagles have won five straight, the Niners have won three straight. The only difference there is that the Niners have won more convincingly. As of right now, if you look at the Super Bowl odds, both teams are the same at 50-to-1 to win the Super Bowl. The Eagles are coming off three tough games against the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills, and now face a Niners’ defense that ranks in the top five in the opponent-yards-per-play metric, which is second-best in the NFC behind Dallas. Offensively, San Francisco is ranked No. 2, which is eight spots better than the Eagles, which rank No. 10.

Bottom line: San Francisco is the better offensive team. The Niners are the better defensive team. They are the healthier team. The Niners are the right side here. We also like San Francisco on the alternate line minus-6, which is plus 150.

Eagles game props

Christian McCaffrey anytime TD -225

George Kittle anytime TD +160

Jalen Hurts under 1.5 passing TDs

Hurts under 241.5 passing yards

What is the line telling you:

The Niners have the better defense, and this is a big revenge game for them.

AROUND THE NFL

Jacksonville Jaguars (6-5) at Houston Texans (6-5), 1:00 p.m. Sunday

The Line: Texans minus-3.5/Total: 47.5

What is the line telling you:

The Broncos are the hottest team in the NFL winning five straight, and right now, you can grab them at 75 to 90-to-1 to win the Super Bowl, and that’s crazy as it is to think Denver can make it to the Super Bowl, but they do have a Super Bowl- winning quarterback and coach, and just beat two of the defenses in the NFL, beating the Chiefs, 24-9, and the Browns, 29-12. Other than that, 70-20 blowout loss to Miami, the Broncos have competed in every game and are now smoking hot. The Broncos have a healthier team entering this game, though the job DeMeco Ryans and C.J. Stroud have done is tremendous, this is Broncos team that has just beat four teams with winning records.

Bottom line: This game is a coin flip. Take Denver plus-3.5, and since both defenses rank near the basement in the metric opponent-yards-per-play, we like the over 47.5 in this game, too. Take the Broncos plus-3.5 and the over.
