Steven Gilmore and Jordan Addison are the NFL Prospects of The Week for their performances last Saturday. Both are big name players who delivered in a huge way for their team and their draft stock last week.
JORDAN ADDISON
Jordan Addison made waves when he transferred to USC after an award winning season at Pittsburgh last year. Now, he is making waves with Caleb Williams. The junior receiver dismantled Stanford on Saturday to the tune of seven catches for 172 yards (24.6 average) and two scores.
Addison looks deadly after the catch and down the field for the Trojans. His speed, elusiveness and ball skills make him a weapon wherever he gets lined up. Only two games into the season and Addison already has 12 catches for 226 yards and four scores. It seems like his big year is only just beginning.
STEVEN GILMORE
Halfway across the country, Marshall was pulling an upset over Notre Dame and cornerback Steven Gilmore put the nail in the Irish coffin. As Notre Dame attempted to march down the field to comeback late in the game, Gilmore jumped in front of a pass and took it to the house to put the Thundering Herd up 26-15.
Gilmore, the younger brother of All-Pro Cornerback and former Defensive Player of the year Stephon Gilmore, has already made a name for himself as one of Marshall’s best players and leaders. The fifth year senior is off to a strong start to the year and could establish himself as a marquee defensive prospect and follow in his brother’s footsteps.
