It was a stress-free Sunday for the Eagles and their fans in Week 3 with Philadelphia not playing the Dallas Cowboys until Monday night. The Birds witnessed a number of favorable outcomes.
An overview:
- The New York Giants lost to the friggin’ ATLANTA FALCONS to fall to 0-3.
- The Washington Football Team lost to the Buffalo Bills to fall to 1-2.
- The Miami Dolphins lost to the Las Vegas Raiders to fall to 1-2.
- The Indianapolis Colts lost to the Tennessee Titans to fall to 0-3. Carson Wentz played 100% of the Colts’ snaps (exact count to be posted in BGN’s Eagles 2022 draft pick tracker early on Monday morning).
So, the Eagles benefited from 1) two of their NFC East rivals losing and 2) draft pick positioning improvement. Not bad.
Of course, this Sunday satisfaction will be short-lived if the Eagles don’t manage to beat the Cowboys in prime-time. The pressure is on.
