Thursday Night Football: Panthers vs. Texans

Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season will kickoff with a matchup featuring the Carolina Panthers (2-0) and Houston Texans (1-1) on Thursday Night Football.

These teams don’t play each other often, but the Panthers lead the all-time series 3-2, including the last three meetings. Most recently, Carolina got the win in Houston back in 2019, 16-10.

With Texans’ QB Tyrod Taylor sidelined with a hamstring injury, something that landed him on IR this week, Houston’s offense is in the hands of 22-year-old quarterback Davis Mills. The rookie out of Stanford did get some playing time in Week 2 following Taylor’s injury, and went 8-of-18 for 102 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and one fumble.
