Who’s in and who’s out.

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2021 NFL Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The following five Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: Rodney McLeod, Gardner Minshew, Brett Toth, Marlon Tuipulotu, and Mac McCain.

McLeod was ruled out on Friday’s final injury report. One would figure that Marcus Epps, who is active despite being listed questionable due to his concussion, will start in his place once again. Or maybe K’Von Wallace will get a crack at the starting safety spot next to Anthony Harris?

A little interesting but not shocking to see the Eagles kept Andre Dillard active over Toth. Dillard obviously has the bigger pedigree and Philly likely doesn’t want the optics of him being a healthy scratch. Toth has struggled less to this point in his career and has experience at right tackle, unlike Dillard.

Tuipulotu isn’t really ready to contribute this season as much as the Eagles value his long-term potential.

Landon Dickerson and Davion Taylor are both active after missing Week 1 due to injury.

Philadelphia Eagles Inactive List

S Rodney McLeod - Injury.

QB Gardner Minshew - Third string quarterback.

T/G Brett Toth - Depth offensive tackle.

DT Marlon Tuipulotu - Depth defensive tackle.

CB Mac McCain - Depth cornerback.

San Francisco 49ers Inactive List

No major surprises for San Fran. Starting defensive linemen Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw are active despite being ruled questionable on their final injury report. Emmanuel Moseley was ruled doubtful and is out, which means Josh Norman (!) will start at cornerback. Yikes. The Eagles need to really take advantage of that.
