The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2021 NFL Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

The following five Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: Rodney McLeod, Landon Dickerson, Davion Taylor, Gardner Minshew, and Mac McCain.

McLeod and Dickerson were ruled out on Friday’s final injury report. McLeod being out isn’t ideal since his backup (K’Von Wallace or Marcus Epps) is a likely downgrade. Dickerson’s absence impacts the Eagles’ offensive line depth, though it shouldn’t be the biggest deal since the team has some other capable backup options.

Taylor was ruled questionable on the Eagles’ final injury report. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before being full go on Friday. No real need to rush him back when he wasn’t likely to play a major role anyway and the Eagles are carrying six other linebackers.

Gardner Minshew is notably inactive after the Eagles traded a 2022 sixth-round pick to acquire him. This cements him as the third quarterback behind Jalen Hurts and Joe Flacco. Minshew is likely still getting adjusted to Philly’s scheme.

Speaking of newcomers, McCain is inactive after only joining the Eagles earlier this week.

New Eagles defensive back Andre Chachere, who was claimed off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts, is active.
