We knew that Eagles’ linebacker Alex Singleton was preparing for his return to the team as he was seen at the facility earlier in the week, but it’s now official and he’s been activated off the reserve/COVID list.

The team already waived Shakial Taylor on Thursday in anticipation of Singleton returning to practice, so there was no corresponding roster move made on Saturday.
Singleton is now one of the most veteran players at the linebacker position on the team as he heads into his third season with the team. He had a bit of a breakout year in 2020, earning a starting job in 11-of-16 games and recording 120 total tackles — including 5 for loss and 7 QB hits —, 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and a Pick-6.
He returns to a linebacker group that includes Eric Wilson, T.J. Edwards, JaCoby Stevens, Davion Taylor, Shaun Bradley, Rashad Smith, and Patrick Johnson.
