Eagles vs. Patriots game updates

Preseason Week 2! Let’s go!

NFL: Philadelphia Training Camp Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

We’re back with the second game of the 2021 NFL preseason! The Philadelphia Eagles will host the New England Patriots after spending the week together at joint training camp practices.

We shouldn’t expect to see much of the starters on Thursday night, especially with head coach Nick Sirianni saying that joint practices offer game-like reps for a lot of the ones — and him not wanting to put too much of the offense on film ahead of the season. Of note, Jalen Hurts will likely get some snaps and it sounds like DeVonta Smith is primed to make his Lincoln Financial Field debut.

As the team starts trimming the roster, just days after getting it down to 85 guys, Thursday’s game will be a really important one for players further down the depth chart.

Which roster-bubble guy do you think will stand out the most?
