I don’t know about you but this year’s NFL dead zone feels like the deadest one I’ve ever lived through. The slowest news cycle of the Philadelphia Eagles’ calendar is only exacerbated by the fact there isn’t much buzz surrounding this team.
Let’s try to fix that by thinking some reasons why there should be more excitement about the upcoming 2021 season. What are you most looking forward to?
Some of the top things I can think of include:
- DeVonta Smith. Duh. Can’t wait to watch that dude play. He’s going to be so good.
- Is Jalen Hurts a real long-term answer at quarterback? We’ll glean more information about him after only seeing just four starts in 2020.
- Nick Sirianni. We know he’s energetic. But is he a good coach? I’m looking forward to finding out.
- The road trip to Las Vegas. I’m currently not planning on going but I know a number of Eagles fans will be headed out west for this year’s top road game destination. That should be a lot of fun regardless of how the actual game goes.
- Tailgating (assuming it’s allowed?) and actually attending games at all! It’ll be great to see full crowds back at the Linc this fall.
Those are some of the top things that come to mind for me. What say you?
