Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has been consistently non-committal to Jalen Hurts at QB1, insisting that one of his core values is competition. Hurts, however, isn’t spending the offseason waiting to be named the starter and is already working out with several Eagles’ offensive skill players.

It’s great that Hurts isn’t waiting to get workouts together, and is definitely looking the part of a franchise quarterback. He must feel good about his chances, too, given the Eagles didn’t draft a QB this year, and his current competition includes Joe Flacco — a guy who doesn’t really fit the young and fast preferences for the roster.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard about Hurts putting together workouts either, he was reportedly trying to get a group of Eagles’ receivers out to Texas for some work back in February/March.
DeVonta Smith wasn’t part of this workout, but he was getting in some work with another former Eagles’ first-round draft pick, Nelson Agholor.
