The Eagles continue to have a glaring need at linebacker but could add some depth if they wanted to make a trade to bring former draft pick Jordan Hicks back to Philly. Hicks spent the past two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, but after drafting Tulsa LB Zaven Collins with their No. 16 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the team is reportedly letting Hicks find a new squad.
1st round draft picks can change plans: The #AZCardinals picked LB Zaven Collins 16th overall, and he is now the starting MIKE backer. The team has given Jordan Hicks permission to find a new home via trade, source said. Hicks is a respected leader & AZ wants to do right by him.

Hicks had some injury issues when he was in Philly, but in Arizona, the linebacker never missed a game and racked up some impressive career-high marks. In two seasons, Hicks notched 268 total tackles — over 50 percent of his career total 522 yards over six seasons — four interceptions and 1.5 sack.
The fact that Hicks had only been with the Cardinals for two years but they think enough about his leadership on and off the field to let him seek out a trade option speaks volumes. Now, whether the Eagles are interested in bringing back an older linebacker when they’ve shifted their focus toward a younger roster all-around, is a whole other question.
Would you want the Eagles to bring back Hicks?
