The Philadelphia Eagles traded two of their Day 3 picks in the 2021 NFL Draft in exchange for one Day 3 pick from the Washington Football Team in the 2022 NFL Draft. This much was first reported by Martin Frank and Nicki Jhabvala. (CORRECTION: We accidentally listed the Eagles’ trade with the Seattle Seahawks, the original Washington football team. Fixed now. Thank you.)

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES RECEIVE

2022 fifth-round pick

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM RECEIVE

2021 sixth-round pick (No. 225)
2021 seventh-round pick (No. 240)

This is a good trade for the Eagles, in my opinion. We had previously talked about having six picks between 189 and 240 was too much quantity over quality. Picking up a pick one round higher in next year’s class, which is expected to be deeper than this year’s draft, is a quality move. Especially when the Eagles are still set to make nine picks this year.

The Eagles are now projected to have 10 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft.
