Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...

Could This Be The Year? - Iggles Blitz
Micah Parsons talked about making mistakes in his past, but says he hopes teams judge him on who he’s become. I hope he is changed. We’ve all done dumb things and you don’t want that to follow you forever. At the same time, I’ve also sat across from a draft prospect and had him sell me on how great a kid he is, only to find out later that he was full of shit. This is just like any job interview. People want to get hired. They will lie to you with a huge smile on their face, trying to convince you that you’re bringing in the next Saint Francis of Assisi. NFL teams will do a lot of research on Parsons to find out who he was and who they think he is. Parsons is saying the right things. He got his degree from Penn State. He’s got some notable people vouching for him. Maybe he has grown up. If the character stuff checks out, Parsons would be great value at 12. He would immediately give the Eagles a playmaker in the middle of their defense. He and Singleton would give the Eagles a good pair of LBs. And you would have young players like Davion Taylor, T.J. Edwards and Shaun Bradley behind them. That would be a pretty interesting group.

Nittany Lions Post Strong Numbers at Pro Day - Black Shoe Diaries
The expectations were sky high for former Penn State football players Micah Parsons and Jayson Oweh on Thursday at the Nittany Lions’ annual pro day in Holuba Hall. It’s safe to say they delivered on those expectations, wowing a room full of scouts as well as NFL Draft Twitter with some astonishing testing numbers. Parsons, who came in at 6-foot-3 and 246 pounds, posted a jaw-dropped 4.39-second 40-yard dash time to go along with a 34-inch vertical jump and an 10-foot-6-inch broad jump,

Report: NFL expected to expand regular season schedule this week - BGN
As far as the Philadelphia Eagles as concerned, their extra opponent is expected to be the same place finisher from the AFC East. That’s the New York Jets, who currently hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. And it’s expected to be a road game for Philly.

Podcast: Unpacking the Eagles’ trade down to 12 in the 2021 NFL Draft - PhillyVoice
In the latest episode of BGN Radio, Brandon Gowton, Benjamin Solak, and I discussed the Eagles’ surprise trade out of the sixth overall spot to the 12th overall spot in the 2021 NFL Draft.

4) The Eagles, suddenly, have quarterback-insurance for the 2022 draft. Philly has two picks (its own and Miami’s) in the first round of 2022, plus the likelihood that the pick from Indianapolis in the Carson Wentz trade will be a first. If Jalen Hurts isn’t The Man in 2021, Philly will have some ammo to move up to get one in 2022. There was a dark cloud over the Eagles after a debacle of a 2020 season, plus the whacking of Doug Peterson and Carson Wentz. You don’t know how this trade works out, of course, but I like this deal for Philadelphia. It leaves the Eagles with a 40 to 50 percent chance, at number 12, to get one of the four top receivers/tight ends in the draft to fill a need for a franchise pass-catcher if that’s how they choose to pick.

Inside the 49ers’ Bold Decision to Move Up in the Draft - MMQB
The Dolphins, though, were looking for a way to stay closer to where they were originally picking, which led to this becoming what was essentially a three-team trade. And Miami needed a partner that would keep the talks in confidence. So Grier called the Eagles, who owned the sixth pick, a little more than two weeks ago to ask if they would be interested in moving back to 12 if the deal with the 49ers went through. Philly said yes, and the Dolphins told the Eagles they’d circle back. Then Grier and Eagles GM Howie Roseman chipped away at the parameters of a second-order trade. [...] Fun fact: If Philly wins in Week 17, they pick ninth, not sixth. And there’s zero chance that Miami is giving up a first-round pick to go from 12 to 9, so when the Eagles execute that pick next year, they’ll have Doug Pederson to thank.

Terrell Owens Thankful After Escaping Ugly Car Crash Unscathed - TMZ Sports
Terrell Owens had a lot to be grateful for this weekend after seemingly walking away relatively unscathed from a nasty car wreck that left his whip totaled. TO sent out the startling update Sunday, posting photos of an accident he apparently was in on a freeway Saturday that left one car rear-ended ... and his car crumpled upfront. It’s unclear what exactly may have caused the crash, but he seems to be okay in the aftermath. The NFL HOFer got a collage up showing the damage juxtaposed with him praying at his bedside.
