Not a definite?

UPDATE: NFL insider Adam Schefter reports Adoree’ Jackson plans to meet the New York Giants during the day on Monday, March 22 before visiting the Philadelphia Eagles at night. USA Today’s Mike Jones adds that the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, and Arizona Cardinals have also “expressed interest” in Jackson.

ORIGINAL STORY BELOW.

The Philadelphia Eagles might be hosting free agent cornerback Adoree’ Jackson on a visit at the NovaCare Complex in the near future.

Might be.

The language used here by Josina Anderson isn’t exactly definitive:

With the New York Giants seemingly getting the first crack at Jackson, it’s possible he doesn’t leave North Jersey without a contract.

Assuming he does make it to Philly, though, Jackson could be a reasonable free agent signing for the Eagles. The No. 18 overall pick from the 2017 NFL Draft is still only 25 years old and has 41 starts under his belt. The Eagles could look to add him as a starting outside cornerback across from Darius Slay.

Jackson was recently unexpectedly released by the Titans amidst rumors of attitude concerns. A murky injury situation limited him to just two starts in 2020, in which he allowed a 145.8 passer rating while targeted. Jackson was much better the prior two seasons with a 94.3 passer rating allowed in 2019 and an 89.4 passer rating allowed in 2018.

Jackson could be worth taking a chance on. In addition to playing on defense, he has experience returning punts (8.8 career average) and kicks.

To be determined if the Eagles will actually get the chance to meet with him and sign him.
