Well, this is odd.
The Philadelphia Eagles are losing assistant defensive backs coach Jay Valai to Alabama, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. Valai will be the Crimson Tide’s new cornerbacks coach.
What’s strange about this is the Eagles officially announced Valai’s hiring less than 24 hours ago! They even made this graphic to welcome him:

Reports of the Eagles hiring Valai first emerged in early February. At the time, we noted how he had only joined Houston’s coaching staff in January before leaving the Cougars to join Philly. And now Valai is quickly exiting the Eagles to go back to the college ranks. Three different jobs accepted within the span of a month!
So ... I suppose the Eagles will be looking for someone to replace Valai’s role and help out new Eagles defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson. One would hope the new hire actually sticks around!
