Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season will kickoff with a matchup featuring the Green Bay Packers (6-1) on the road against the Arizona Cardinals (7-0) on Thursday Night Football. The Cardinals are the last remaining undefeated team around the league, and the Packers have had no problems stomping opponents ever since Week 1. This is set to be a much different Thursday night game than we’ve gad so far this season.
The Packers do lead the all-time series between these teams, 44-24-4, but the Cardinals have won the past two meetings, including most recently in Dec. 2018, 20-17. They haven’t faced each other in Arizona since 2015, when Green Bay suffered a huge 38-8 road loss.
There are plenty of former Eagles suiting up on Thursday night on both the Cardinals (Jordan Hicks, Zach Ertz) and Green Bay Packers (Rasul Douglas, Dennis Kelly, Chandon Sullivan). Ertz scored a career-long 47-yard touchdown last Sunday in his first game for Arizona, and Hicks is consistently one of the most productive defenders for the team. Douglas and Sullivan both forced turnovers for the Packers’ defense in Week 7, and are quickly becoming important pieces of the team.
Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s game.
