The Philadelphia Eagles temporarily elevated two practice squad players as COVID-19 replacements ahead of the team’s Thursday Night Football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This much according to an official announcement.
These elevations mean that Dallas Goedert and Sua Opeta, both on the reserve/COVID-19 list, are officially OUT for Thursday night’s game. Goedert’s absence is obviously especially significant given his role in the offense.
- Snaps played: 5th most of any offensive player (68.3%)
- Targets: Tied for 5th (19)
- Receiving yards: 3rd (216)
- Yards per reception: 3rd (14.4)
- Receiving touchdowns: 1st (2)
- Big plays: Tied for 1st (4)
- First downs: 2nd (12)
Noah Togiai and Le’Raven Clark were the call-ups.
Elevating Togiai gives the Eagles more tight end depth. The 2020 undrafted rookie free agent signing figures to be the third tight end behind Zach Ertz and Jack Stoll. Togiai will be making his Eagles debut on Thursday night after only rejoining the team earlier this week.
Elevating Clark gives the Eagles more offensive line depth. He’ll likely be the top backup behind Andre Dillard at left tackle and Jordan Mailata at right tackle.

Note: COVID elevations do not count towards the twice per season practice squad elevation limit.
