We had to wait until the final game of the 2020 NFL season before knowing the winner of the NFC East, but with their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, the Washington Football Team is headed to the playoffs.
Washington will host Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, January 9 at 8:15pm EST on NBC.
The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys faced off earlier in the day, and with a 23-19 home win, the Giants were next in line for the division title had Washington lost to Philadelphia. The Eagles were out of the hunt after losing to the Cowboys in Week 16 — being the first team eliminated from the NFL’s worst division is just another embarrassment for a franchise that’s had SO many embarrassing moments this season.
Well someone had to win the NFC East.

At least it wasn’t the Cowboys. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
