Before the divisional round of the 2021 NFL playoffs kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the spreads for these games. You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via DraftKings SportsBook.
My season record is 130-126-6 after going 2-3-1 last week. That’s better than the BGN community, which is now 127-129-6.
DIVISIONAL GAMES
LOS ANGELES RAMS at GREEN BAY PACKERS (-6.5): It’s hard to bet against Aaron Rodgers, the rightful NFL MVP. Even more so when the Rams are trotting out Jared Goff at less than 100%. But 6.5 points might be a little too rich. The Los Angeles defense is for real and they should be able to at least keep this game competitive. I like the Packers to win, ultimately, but the Rams have what it takes to cover. Cam Akers will have some success against a Green Bay defense that ranks 21st in opponent yards per rush attempt. PICK: Rams +6.5

BALTIMORE RAVENS at BUFFALO BILLS (-2.5): The Bills are my pick to win the Super Bowl this year. So I can’t not pick them to win. That we saw glimpses of Bad Josh Allen last week does give me a level of concern. The Ravens’ defense is no joke; they just shut down Derrick Henry last week. But I also think the Bills are a better team than we saw last week against Indy. The Ravens are going to need more from Lamar Jackson as a passer in this spot and there’s no guarantee they get that PICK: Bills -2.5

CLEVELAND BROWNS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-10): I mean, it’s possible the Chiefs come out firing after basically have the last two weeks off. We all know Andy Reid is the master of the bye. There’s potential for them to destroy the Browns. But I’m not going to merely rely on that happening. The Chiefs won seven straight one-score games before a meaningless Week 17 affair. They’re 7-9 against the spread this season. Kareem Hunt is going to have a big game against his former team as the Browns find a way to at least cover ... and possibly outright win. PICK: Browns +10

Which bet do you like more?
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-3): I’ve gone back and forth on this one. As my BGN Radio co-host Jimmy Kempski recently pointed out, the idea that it’s tough for a team to beat an opponent three times in one season just isn’t true. Teams are 14-7 in those last 21 situations. That being said, there’s more reason to be confident in Tom Brady than Drew Brees right now. With this game likely being close, I lean towards the points. It’s just too bad both sides can’t lose. PICK: Buccaneers +3
