The Philadelphia Eagles signed free agent defensive tackle T.Y. McGill to their practice squad, according to an official announcement from the team.
The addition was expected since McGill visited with the Eagles on Monday. Here’s what we previously wrote:
McGill originally had a brief stint with the Eagles in November 2018. The team re-signed him late in training camp this year before releasing him two weeks later. The Eagles could be looking to sign McGill to the practice squad to provide more veteran depth behind the quartet of Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Malik Jackson, and Hassan Ridgeway. Undrafted rookie free agent signing Raequan Williams is also on the practice squad but not might be deemed game ready.
See below for a current look at the Eagles’ 2020 practice squad, including their four Week 1 protections. Note that Michael Warren is no longer listed on the team’s official website despite the fact they haven’t announced his release. If Warren is gone, the Eagles have one remaining open practice squad spot. UPDATE: Jimmy Kempski posted a picture of Michael Warren at Wednesday’s practice. Thus, the practice squad is full.
