Week 2’s Sunday Night Football contest will feature the Cam Newton-led New England Patriots (1-0) on the road against the Seattle Seahawks (1-0).
The last time these two teams played in the regular season was in 2016, with the Seahawks winning in New England, 31-24. The last time they faced each other in Seattle was back in 2012, with the Seahawks narrowly pulling off the win, 24-23.
In Cam Newton’s debut with the Patriots, he completed 15-of-19 pass attempts for 155 yards but did most of his work on the ground with 75 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. With those two rushing TDs, Newton became the first quarterback with 60 career rushing touchdowns in NFL history.
Eagles fans don’t have to root for either team to enjoy this game — the Seattle loss is still too fresh and the Patriots are the Patriots. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
