Narrowly squeaking out the victory with 42 percent of the vote, the BGN readers have decided that for this week’s watch party, we’ll be viewing the Eagles’ 2001 road victory in Dallas. The Week 10 contest put the Eagles at 6-3 on their way to a 11-5 record and a division title.
Here’s what I wrote about the game in the poll article earlier in the week:
How ‘bout dem Cowboys?!? Dallas finished in last place in the NFC East with a 5-11 record in 2001, as the Eagles exercised some sweet revenge for the Cowboys’ success throughout the previous decade. After a 50-yard interception return from Jeremiah Trotter on the last play of the first half to take a 20-0 lead down in Texas, the Birds never looked back. I know we watched a Cowboys game last week, but you can you really ever get enough of the Eagles beating up on Dallas?
On Friday August 7 at 7:00 p.m. EST, we’ll be watching a monumental game from the 2001 season. As a reminder, we’re going to be using the Watch2Gether site so that we can all simultaneously view the game while having a running text chat.
Simply use the link [here] to join our watch room. Same as last time, feel free to hop in around 6:30 p.m. so we can shoot the breeze before promptly kicking things off at 7:00 p.m.
We’ll be using the #2001Birds hashtag on social media so we can all follow along together too.
