Special Teams Upgrade?

To make room for Everson Griffin, the Cowboys have cut Jalen Jelks after drafting him (albeit) in the 7th round) last year. The word on him was he needed to get stronger to play in the NFL. He has good speed, and good character and was a top player at Oregon.

The Cowturds thought enough of his potential to stash him on IR with a phantom injury. So I'm wondering if he's worth taking a flyer on as a depth LB / DE, but even more so as a special teams upgrade. He seems to have all the tools to be a good ST player.

I'm not saying that signing him would make a dramatic difference, but it might be a good back end of the roster upgrade. It's these kinds of upgrades that if you make enough of them can have a big impact on your team.
