The Eagles have been predictably unstable at the linebacker position for several years, and roster turnover at the position has been incredible. At one point last year, I was tracking six former linebackers from just the past couple of seasons who were at least contributing (some at a high level) with their new teams — Kiko Alonso, Zach Brown, LJ Fort, Najee Goode, Jordan Hicks, and Joe Walker.
So, who is the one guy I would like the Eagles to re-sign? Jordan Hicks.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... injuries, can’t stay healthy... yadda, yadda, yadda.
It seems like Hicks has been with the Cardinals for longer than just one season, but it’s probably due to him having so many career-high performances throughout the year. He didn’t miss a single game in 2019, and finished his first year in Arizona with 150 total tackles (11 tackles for loss and 7 QB hits), not to mention 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles.
With his experience over the course of his rookie contract in Philly, Hicks would have been a huge contributor last season, and would be a great leader for some of the young guys the team brought in this offseason.
Which former linebacker would you want back in Philly?
