So, here’s an unusual and unexpected story for you on a random Saturday evening during the NFL dead zone.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was allegedly sucker-punched at a South Dakota restaurant on Friday, according to a report from NJ.com writer and BGN alumnus Mike Kaye. Thankfully, Goedert wasn’t injured. He’s now doing okay.
The Eagles tight end was out with his family for dinner when he was allegedly sucker-punched unprovoked. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution and is said to be fine after the incident, the person said.
Just my take but I’d say that trying to start trouble with a 6-5, 256 pound NFL player isn’t the smartest idea. Jerk.
With Brandon Brooks suffering a season-ending injury and Goedert being allegedly assaulted, this hasn’t been the best week for current Eagles players. Here’s hoping guys can stay safe and out of harm’s way until they potentially report to Philly for the start of training camp in late July.
