If you’re looking for something to do this Sunday (12:00 PM Eastern), you might want to check out ESPN’s E:60 Father’s Day special feature on new Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. Watch the teaser clip for “After the Storm” below (hat tip to Niners Nation):
More than a Super Bowl champion, more than an Olympian, @Eagles receiver Marquise Goodwin wanted to be a father. Inside a powerful journey - this Sunday. pic.twitter.com/FQxWn0BSGs

Goodwin’s wife, Morgan, tragically lost a child during pregnancy in 2017. Heartbreak struck again when she lost twins during the 2018 season. I can’t even imagine.
MARQUISE GOODWIN: “I always wanted a kid. And I wanted it so bad and it was just taken.”
MORGAN GOODWIN: “My worst fear had happened all over again.”
TAMINA GOODWIN (Marquise’s mom): “Devastation times 10. He wanted to be a father more than he wanted a Super Bowl championship.”
On a brighter note, Morgan gave birth to daughter Marae earlier this year in February. You can see from Marquise’s Instagram that he’s one proud papa:
The Eagles acquired Goodwin in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers back during the 2020 NFL Draft in late April. His role with the team remains to be seen but it’ll be interesting to learn more about the man off the field from this E:60 episode.
