BGN Quarantine Watch Party Poll: Help us decide what Eagles game to watch next!

The Randall Game? Monday Night Massacre?

After having a blast watching the classic 1995 Wild Card Game win over the Lions last Friday, we are going to keep the quarantine watch parties going! Just like last week’s poll, I’m going to run down some potential viewing options for us this upcoming Friday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. EST.

As a reminder:

The website we used to watch old games on YouTube is called Watch2Gether, where we can all do a live-running text thread discussing the game as the video plays. While there are a ton of old Birds games available to watch on YouTube, a lot of them are copyright-protected, meaning that we won’t be able to view them through Watch2Gether.

Going off some readers comments last week during the watch party and looking through some other available games, here are four options for us this week:

1979 Wild Card Round against the Chicago Bears

In the first playoff win of the Dick Vermeil era, the Eagles overcame a 17-10 halftime deficit, as they scored 17 unanswered points on their way to victory. Hall of Fame receiver Harold Carmichael balled out, hauling in six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

1988 Week 6 against the New York Giants

On Monday Night Football, Randall Cunningham became a phenom to a national television audience after his iconic red zone touchdown pass to Jimmie Giles, one of his three touchdown throws of the evening. The Birds defeated the Giants 24-13, as they built momentum for their first NFC East crown in eight years.

2002 Divisional Round against the Atlanta Falcons

In the last Eagles victory at Veterans Stadium, the Birds pulled off a 20-6 win to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the second-consecutive season. Cornerback Bobby Taylor got the Saturday night party started early with a huge first quarter pick 6. Brian Dawkins also memorably laid a vicious hit on Michael Vick that lives on to this day in highlight videos.

2010 Week 10 against Washington

Monday Night Massacre. 59-28. You know what the deal is.

I’m already amped for Friday night!
