Come watch with us!

Another week brings another quarantine watch party!

We’re going to kick things off tomorrow, Friday May 29 at 7:00 p.m. EST with the latest installment of our communal tradition, as we watch the Eagles beat the Bears in the 1979 Wild Card Round, which won this week’s poll. Here’s what I’ve previously written about this game:

In the first playoff win of the Dick Vermeil era, the Eagles overcame a 17-10 halftime deficit, as they scored 17 unanswered points on their way to victory. Hall of Fame receiver Harold Carmichael balled out, hauling in six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns.

This was a momentous win for the Birds that gave them the confidence to go on a Super Bowl run the following season. It’s certainly a throwback game as well, so hopefully it’s a chance for younger Eagles fans like myself to watch a classic part of Eagles history.

Per usual, we will be using the Watch2Gether site for the watch party. For those wondering about last week’s technical issues, I’m currently writing this article using Google Chrome on a non-Apple computer and I’ve set up the watch party room this way as well, so I anticipate things going as smoothly as they’ve done previously.

Simply use the link [here] to join our watch room.

For those following along on Twitter, we will be using the #BGN79WildCard hashtag.

As I like to say: We may be stuck inside, but there’s nothing like reliving some great Eagles memories. Can’t wait to crack open a cold one and watch with you all on Friday!

Go Birds.
