It’s said that ‘time heals all wounds’ but that hasn’t exactly been the case for Tom Brady.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback is still clearly bothered by the New England Patriots’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
Brady actually admitted as much ahead of the Eagles versus Patriots matchup in Philly last year.
“You assume I’m over it. Come on now! There’s a lot of mental scar tissue from that year. That was a tough game.”
Brady echoed a similar sentiment during Sunday’s “The Match” golf special featuring the duo of Brady and Phil Mickelson versus Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods. With a commentator referencing his comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, Brady brought up the Eagles unprompted.

BRADY: “It’s the Eagles that I cringe, bro, not the Falcons.”
Manning also tried to get in Brady’s head at one point by talking about his potential caddy options.

MANNING: “It’s hard to get to him ... do you bring Eli? Could do that. Do you bring Nick Foles? Maybe.
BRADY: “That’s a cheap shot!”
Brady didn’t immediately react to Eli’s name being brought up but he did instantly turn around once Foles was mentioned. Clearly a sore spot.
BDN is hardly one to talk trash but he couldn’t resist weighing in. Good stuff right here:
I’ll come caddy and help you out against Tom. Let’s go! https://t.co/s55ayPmSAp

Peyton, two words, if Tom and Phil start coming back...”Philly Special.” Go win it. #TheMatch2

In These Uncertain Times™, at least one thing is for sure: the Eagles won Super Bowl LII and Brady lost.
