The Philadelphia Eagles were set to pick at No. 146 in the 2020 NFL Draft right after selecting Auburn offensive lineman Jack Driscoll at No. 145 overall. But there has been a trade! And it happened with the Eagles’ division rival Dallas Cowboys!
Let’s take a look at the terms of the deal.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES RECEIVE — No. 164, 2021 fifth-round pick
DALLAS COWBOYS RECEIVE — No. 146
The Cowboys used No. 146 to select Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz. Dallas needed a new man in the pivot following Travis Frederick’s sudden retirement. Not sure why the Eagles felt the need to help out an NFC East opponent!
The Eagles are missing their 2021 fourth-round pick after (curiously) trading for Genard Avery last year so this deal kinda helps offset that loss.
