The Eagles are getting ready for an important weekend, but that didn’t keep Howie Roseman and his wife, Mindy, from making a very generous donation of delicious pizza to the hospital workers in Philadelphia on Thursday. Not only did they order pizzas, they included a personal note thanking the people for being on the front lines and being such a critical part of the community.
Despite it being a very busy day Eagles GM Howie Roseman and his wife ordered and donated pizza from @AngelosApeeetz to hospital workers in Philadelphia today as he gets ready for the NFL Draft and attached a personal note! @6abc #Eagles #HowieRoseman pic.twitter.com/lvmMuW2Rlp— Jeff Skversky 6abc (@JeffSkversky) April 23, 2020
Roseman had previously said that he hopes to use the draft coverage and attention to highlight relief efforts for the community, and this seems like a good start.
Earlier this week, Jeffrey Lurie and the team announced a $1 million donation to several initiatives around the city of Philadelphia with an emphasis towards support of essential healthcare workers and their families. A portion of the donation was made as part of the NFL’s Draft-a-thon to raise money for national non-profits during the three-day event.
[BLG Note: Angelo’s is up there with the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Elite tier. If you’re reading this, Angelo’s, let’s talk about working together.]
