We’ve all had a few days to accept the news that Jason Peters would be exploring free agency in the upcoming weeks, but there are still a lot of ways that things play out for the Eagles and their beloved Bodyguard.
Peters is one of those players that would be really tough to see donning another team’s jersey. After spending the first five seasons of his career in Buffalo, he’s been a Philly staple for 11 seasons — and earned 7 Pro Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl win in that time with the Eagles.
But, “exploring free agency” doesn’t mean that Peters won’t ultimately still land another contract in Philly. Or, similar to Brent Celek a few years ago, it’s also possible he meets with some teams, sees what is available to him, and makes the decision to retire altogether. Of course, Peters will likely have a stronger marker than Celek.
So, the announcement that he would be testing the market, doesn’t really narrow things down just yet.
What is your ideal outcome for Jason Peters’ free agency?
