SECOND UPDATE: Apparently Yannick Ngakoue is indeed messing with us.
@MikeGarafolo on NFL Network just now says "nothing going on" with a trade for Yannick Ngakoue, with the Eagles, the Packers or any other team.

Apparently Ngakoue just likes Reggie White and posted his photo on his IG, as he did Lawrence Taylor a while back.
FIRST UPDATE: Yannick Ngakoue just posted a picture of Reggie White on his Instagram story. Either he’s really messing with us or something big might be about to go down.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded for Darius Slay but they might not be done adding to their defense. The latest rumor from NFL insider Jason La Canfora suggests the Eagles are interested in acquiring Jacksonville Jaguars pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue:
Heard the Eagles have a lot of interested in this guy, among others https://t.co/OlH9CkfGG8

But the smoke doesn’t stop there! Ngakoue’s verified Twitter account “liked” La Canfora’s tweet ... and another one about Schwartz. See for yourself:

Okay, that might be meaningless. But ... this might not be? On Instagram, Ngakoue posted a picture of himself at an airport before then posting an eagle emoji with “... vulture” written next to it.

It should be noted that former Los Angeles Rams pass rusher recently tweeted an eagle emoji right before signing with the Atlanta Falcons. So, again, maybe it means nothing.
Buuuuuttttt ... maybe this IS something?!
Acquiring Ngakoue would not come cheap in terms of money or compensation. The Jaguars franchise tagged the 24-year-old pass rusher. Then again, the Eagles aren’t shy to invest major resources into their defensive line.
To be determined if anything comes of this. I tend to think it’s not realistic because the Eagles already highly value their starting defensive ends in Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett. They’re specifically much higher on Barnett than some think they should be.
Stay tuned!
