What once may have seemed unthinkable is now actually happening: Tom Brady is leaving the New England Patriots. The 42-year-old quarterback announced as much via his official Twitter account.
It goes without saying that it’ll be interesting to see where Brady lands; it’ll be so strange to see him playing for a different team. There’s talk he could end up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Los Angeles Chargers.
Given the nature of this historic development, I think it’s only right that we take this time to honor true greatness. And by that I mean the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles will go down as the last team to ever beat the Brady and Bill Belichick duo — arguably the greatest quarterback and head coach combination of all time — in the Super Bowl.
41-33.
