XFL is back: Week 1 game thread

The 2019 NFL season ended with the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl last weekend but that doesn’t mean football is going away entirely. The XFL is back, baby, and the Week 1 action begins today.

There are around 26 former Philadelphia Eagles players playing in the XFL, including former 2017 fourth-round pick Donnel Pumphrey. Pump never managed to play an NFL snap but he’ll be making his XFL debut with the DC Defenders today.

Speaking of the Defenders, that’s the team a number of Eagles fans will apparently be rooting for:
