The 2020 NFL Combine is nearly upon us with the first batch of draft prospects set to report to Indianapolis as soon as this Sunday, February 23.
But the Combine isn’t just a significant event in the lead up to the NFL Draft. It also serves as an important precursor to NFL free agency. Head coaches and executives and other various NFL employees from all 32 teams will gather together in Indy next week. They’ll be talking to each other (sometimes over drinks) ... and that means we’re bound to hear some leaks about rumored trades, free agent signings, etc.
Of course, we’ll be hearing from coaches and executives on the record during their press conferences. Eagles executive vice president/general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Doug Pederson will be available to reporters this coming Tuesday, February 25. Roseman will be at the podium at 1:30 PM ET before Pederson follows him at 1:45 PM ET. Bleeding Green Nation will have a post where you can stream the press conference videos live.
This media session will mark the first we’ve heard from Roseman and Pederson since they last spoke on January 8. They’ll be asked about a number of topics such as Nigel Bradham’s release, the status of impending free agents (such as Jason Peters), and much more. Roseman and Pederson obviously won’t be explicitly divulging all of their offseason plans but perhaps we’ll be able to glean some hints from what they say. Stay tuned to BGN, as always, for full coverage.
