Not exactly sure what to expect from today’s Philadelphia Eagles versus Green Bay Packers game.
Maybe I’m overthinking things and it’s going to go the chalk route where the Eagles get blown out. You know, Aaron Rodgers torches this defense and Philly’s abysmal offense struggles to score yet again.
But maybe the Eagles’ defense can be respectable, the run game can come together, and Philly can at least find a way to keep this competitive? Maybe Press Taylor getting more involved in the play-calling actually helps out? Probably wishful thinking on the Eagles’ behalf.
I hate that it’s come to this but there’s a part of me that just doesn’t feel invested in the outcome. This team has beaten their fans into apathy. There’s nothing interesting going on here and the long-term outlook offers little hope. Is watching them really even worth our time?
A win today could be a brief reprieve from that harsh reality. A loss would merely be expected.
