The thirteenth Sunday of the 2020 NFL regular season is here and that means it’s time to run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the Week 13 games.

I can’t bring myself to write about rooting for the Eagles to make the playoffs at this point. Losing games is the best thing for this team’s long-term outlook. It’s time to embrace the tank and cheer for draft positioning.

Current 2021 NFL Draft order via Tankathon:

TANKING GUIDE

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at GREEN BAY PACKERS: The Eagles are currently set to pick sixth overall. They can realistically get up to as high as No. 3. Just need to keep losing. Root for the Packers.

CLEVELAND BROWNS at TENNESSEE TITANS: It’s possible that Philly and Cincinnati could finish with the same record. In that event, the tiebreaker goes to the team with the weaker strength of schedule, which is currently the Eagles (.526 to .537.) In order for the Birds to stay ahead in that category, it’s better for the Titans to win here because that result would strengthen Cincy’s strength of schedule and weaken Philly’s. Root for the Titans.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS at NEW YORK JETS: For as bad as the Eagles are, they won’t be able to get ahead of the winless Jets. Might as well just keep rooting for the Jets to lose. Root for the Raiders.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at MINNESOTA VIKINGS: The Jags are in a similar boat to the Jets. The Eagles aren’t getting high enough to pass them in the draft order. But with the Jags having played Cincy this year, a Jacksonville win strengthens Cincy’s strength of schedule. Root for the Jaguars.

CINCINNATI BENGALS at MIAMI DOLPHINS: Not sure if the Bengals will be able to win another game this year. This might be one of their more winnable matchups. Need them to get a win for Philly to have a chance to pass them. Root for the Bengals.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at HOUSTON TEXANS: The Eagles are already ahead of Houston (note: Miami owns their first-round pick) in the draft order but a little insurance never hurt. Root for the Texans.

DETROIT LIONS at CHICAGO BEARS: The Eagles are already ahead of Detroit in the draft order but a little insurance never hurt. Root for the Lions.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at ATLANTA FALCONS: The Eagles are already head of Atlanta in the draft order but a little insurance never hurt. Plus the Saints losing would weaken the Eagles’ strength of schedule, which is a good thing. Root for the Falcons.

NEW YORK GIANTS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS: Giants win obviously helps to prevent the Eagles from winning the NFC East. Root for the Giants.

LOS ANGELES RAMS at ARIZONA CARDINALS: Doesn’t really matter. The Cards are closer to catching the Eagles but they probably won’t. Root for the Cardinals.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS: The Eagles need to get ahead of the Chargers in the draft order. A win for the Bolts also has the added benefit of strengthening the Bengals’ strength of schedule. Root for the Chargers.

DENVER BRONCOS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS: The Eagles are already ahead of Denver in the draft order but a little insurance never hurt. Root for the Broncos.

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM at PITTSBURGH STEELERS: Football Team win obviously helps to prevent the Eagles from winning the NFC East. Root for the Football Team.

BUFFALO BILLS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS: Best to eliminate the possibility of San Fran totally bottoming out and catching up to the Eagles. Root for the 49ers.

DALLAS COWBOYS at BALTIMORE RAVENS: The Cowboys are currently set to pick fourth overall. Need to see the Eagles get ahead of them. Root for the Cowboys.

PLAYOFFS GUIDE

If you still want the Eagles to make the playoffs for some reason, well, they only might need one or two more wins this year.
