The Philadelphia Eagles activated Deontay Burnett from the practice squad COVID-19 list on Thursday afternoon, according to an official announcement from the team.
Burnett was originally placed on this list back on November 19. It’s not perfectly clear if he actually tested positive for the coronavirus. In any case, it’s good to see he’s healthy enough to safely return to the team. The Eagles had one practice squad vacancy so Burnett’s return fills that.
Burnett looked good in training camp but the team decided to waive him. He’s remained on the practice squad for most of the year, except for two games when the Eagles elevated him to the game day roster due to a bevy of wide receiver injuries.
See below for a current look at the Eagles’ 2020 practice squad.
