Two players DID NOT PRACTICE: Fletcher Cox and Rudy Ford.
There was reportedly optimism that Cox would return to practice on Thursday but, alas, he did not. Seems like he might actually be in danger of missing his first game since the 2017 season. Cox missing Sunday’s game would obviously be very bad for Philly’s chances of pulling off an upset.
Ford is on track to miss his third straight game and seventh this season.
Three players were LIMITED: Darius Slay, Zach Ertz, and T.J. Edwards.
Slay is a brand new addition to the injury report. The Eagles are counting on him to shut down Davante Adams this Sunday. Not good news for the team that he might be unavailable or gimpy if he does play. The Eagles’ remaining cornerbacks behind Slay: Avonte Maddox, Nickell Robey-Coleman, and Michael Jacquet. There’s always the option of moving Jalen Mills out of playing the safety position as well.
Ertz might not be a lock to make his return this weekend since he’s still limited. We’ll have to see how he’s listed on Friday’s final injury report. If Ertz can’t play, the Eagles will role with Dallas Goedert and Richard Rodgers as their top two tight ends.
It’s unclear if Edwards will be able to suit up. Haven’t heard any word on him.
