Former Philadelphia Eagles safety Will Parks is headed back to the Denver Broncos. His old team claimed him off waivers on Wednesday, according to BGN alumnus and NJ.com writer Mike Kaye.

Kaye adds that the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers were among six teams that also put claims in but were beat out by the Broncos, who rank 13th in the waiver order (same as the 2021 NFL Draft order).

The Eagles unexpectedly waived Parks on Tuesday. They hadn’t been playing him much and they apparently want to get a look at some of their younger options — such as Grayland Arnold — moving forward.

Parks is just the latest Eagles defensive free agent addition that didn’t amount to much of anything. Howie Roseman has really struggled to find quality impact since March 2018:

And this list doesn’t even include the Eagles trading a very high fourth-round pick in this year’s draft to acquire Genard Avery, who has played zero defensive snaps in his last two games.

Anyway, best wishes to Parks as he returns to Denver.
