The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their Week 14 game against the New Orleans Saints.
The following five Eagles players have been ruled INACTIVE: T.J. Edwards, Michael Jacquet, Rudy Ford, Grayland Arnold, John Hightower, Jason Huntley, and Nate Sudfeld.
Interesting to see Hightower is a healthy scratch. The rookie fifth-round pick was seeing a lot of playing time earlier in the year with the Eagles so banged up at receiver. With J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Quez Watkins — who’ve been healthy scratches lately — active over Hightower, it’s an interesting demotion. So great to see Alshon Jeffery active instead for no good reason.
Edwards, Jacquet, and Ford were all ruled out on the Eagles’ final injury report. Arnold was listed as questionable. Nate Herbig will start in place of Peters, who hasn’t been placed on injured reserve yet. Edwards being out means Alex Singleton and Duke Riley will be the top two linebackers.
Sudfeld being out, as expected, means Carson Wentz is the only quarterback behind Jalen Hurts in the rookie’s first NFL start.
Joe Bachie (No. 59), Kevon Seymour (No. 41), Rashad Smith (No. 53), and Jameson Houston (No. 46) are all making their Eagles debuts in this game. The Eagles signed Bachie earlier in the week. Seymour was signed to the roster on Saturday while Smith and Houston were temporarily elevated from the practice squad.
