It’s really something that the Philadelphia Eagles, who are first in the NFC East, managed to beat a division rival by 14 points and yet have their fans feeling WORSE about the team. The latest SB Nation Reacts data shows that Eagles fan confidence dropped from 39% to 24%:

Fans can’t be blamed for souring on the Eagles’ outlook. Carson Wentz is playing poorly enough for there to be conversations about him being benched. The offense as a whole struggled to look competent against the NFL’s worst defense. Pretty disheartening stuff.
Despite being on pace for a playoff spot, there are currently only seven teams with lower fan confidence ratings:
- Houston Texans — 19% (1-6 with a win over Jacksonville)
- Chicago Bears — 17% (Two straight losses and Nick Foles struggling)
- New York Jets — 14% (Only winless team in the NFL)
- Los Angeles Chargers — 14% (Just blew a 21-point lead)
- Dallas Cowboys — 12% (Clearly a lost season)
- Detroit Lions — 8% (Lame duck head coach and general manager)
- Jacksonville Jaguars — 7% (Haven’t won since Week 1)
Not exactly the best company to keep.
Elsewhere in the NFC East, the Washington Football Team still leads the division in fan confidence. They held steady at 67% coming out of their bye:

Big opportunity for Washington to challenge the Eagles’ first place position by beating the New York Giants this week.
Speaking of the Giants, their fans clearly saw a two-point loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a moral victory. New York did lead for most of the matchup and were likely a two-point conversion away from sending the game into overtime. The Giants went up from 55% to 66%:

Last and certainly least, the Cowboys actually saw an increase despite losing to the Eagles. Their loss to Philly clearly wasn’t as bad as they thought it could be. Dallas moved up from 2% to 12% but they’re probably due for another dip with the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers up next.

On that aforementioned “Nick Foles is struggling” point, a significant portion of Bears fans are ready for the team to turn back to Mitchell Trubisky. Yikes.
