My prediction for tonight’s Philadelphia Eagles versus Seattle Seahawks game?
Pain.
In one of the following two ways:
1) The Eagles get embarrassed on national television in a game that’s never really close. They fall to 0-6 against Russell Wilson. Doug Pederson once again fails to lead Philly to more than 15 points against Seattle’s defense even though it’s worse than ever.
or
2) The Eagles pick this season out of all seasons to finally beat the Seahawks. You know, when it benefits them the least since losing is more preferable to get a higher draft pick and encourage much-needed regime changes.
On the bright side, there are a couple points of intrigue in this matchup! It’ll be interesting to see Jordan Mailata back in the starting lineup. Oh, yeah, and however the Eagles are planning to increase playing time for Jalen Hurts.
On that note, it feels like tonight’s game could be the last start for Carson Wentz before he gets benched. If he struggles against the NFL’s worst passing defense (343.7 yards per game allowed), the Eagles need to sit him. Especially if Hurts shows some positive flashes in his snaps.
We’ll see how it goes on Monday Night Football. I’m fully expecting the Eagles to lose their third straight game to drop to 3-7-1.
