Today marks a very important date on the calendar! It’s Election Day in the U.S. so go out and vote if you haven’t already.
Oh, and the 2020 NFL trade deadline is set for 4:00 PM Eastern later this afternoon. Will we see any meaningful action or will it be a quieter news cycle due to COVID-19 complications?
Either way, we’ll be posting all Philadelphia Eagles and relevant league-wide news in this NFL trade rumors tracker. Newest updates will be posted at the top.
[2:00 PM ET] - Pretty quiet day in terms of rumors, as you can tell! But we do have this from NFL insider Mike Garafolo: “There have been reports and rumblings to both sides — that the Eagles were going to be active sellers, and active buyers. What I’ll tell you is, with a couple of hours left here, my expectation is that the Eagles will do neither. Well, I’ll put it to you this way: there won’t be anything major. There could still be a minor move that the Eagles make. But Howie Roseman, he has to walk a line here, he’s in a delicate spot. Things haven’t been perfect and he’s been talking since last year about restocking the roster, hoping to do it through the draft. He’s always checking things out. I think he was looking to see if there was an ability to kind of compile some picks to unload some guys or maybe acquire a guy on a bargain rate. So, the Eagles were involved in a lot of talks as they always are. And I think that led to a lot of the rumors. But I’m not expecting a lot of action. Definitely nothing major from the Eagles based on conversations I’ve had with some sources.”
[8:42 AM ET] - In case you missed it over the weekend, the Eagles are reportedly still listening to offers for Alshon Jeffery (shocker!). They were also listening to offers for Zach Ertz and DeSean Jackson, who can’t be traded now that they’re on injured reserve. The Eagles have reportedly made Will Parks available.
