Football Team vs. Cowboys: Thanksgiving football

Can both teams lose? I guess a tie will do.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Football Team Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The afternoon game on Thanksgiving is now the grand finale of the day, with an NFC East matchup between the Washington Football Team (3-7) and Dallas Cowboys (3-7).

It’s only been a few weeks since these teams faced off, with Washington coming up big at home in late-October, winning 25-3. The Cowboys, however, lead the all-time series between the two division opponents, 73-44-2. Both teams are coming off big wins in Week 11, with the Football Team winning over the Bengals, and Dallas getting a victory over Minnesota.

The Eagles still hold a very slight lead in the division, so the best outcome for Philadelphia’s playoff chances would be a tie. That’s usually not very exciting football, but it’ll be a fine way to spend a turkey hangover.

Happy Thanksgiving!
